Getting started
- Download the Chrome extension
- Pin Liminary to your Chrome toolbar for easy access
- Sign in using your Google email or create a free account to access Liminary across Chrome desktop browsers
Using the extension
- Easy access: Use the Liminary extension icon in your toolbar or the floating puck (Option + P) to start adding knowledge to your library
- Get curious: Summarize webpages or ask Liminary questions about any content you're reading
- Get focused: Take notes, highlight text, and look up unfamiliar terms without switching context
Explore and learn from your library
- Access your knowledge: Find all your saved content, notes, and highlights in one place
- Organize naturally: Your content is automatically organized and easy to find when you need it
- Dive deeper: Select specific sources to analyze and create outlines that help you use your knowledge effectively
Working with sources
You can refine which sources Liminary uses in two ways:
- Click the "Select sources" button in the Workspace chat box
- Go to Library, select your preferred sources, and click "Analyze"
Quick tips
- Use Option + G to open the extension side panel
- Share your notes easily by copying directly from the Library or creating a Google Doc
- Import your existing bookmarks to jumpstart your library (up to 20 at a time)
Frequently asked questions
Is my saved content private and secure?
Yes, your saved content is private and secure. Liminary is your personal knowledge management tool and knowledge retrieval platform. Your data and content will be accessible to you only, unless you choose to share it, and you can delete your data and your account at any time.
We will always have user privacy as a core tenet of our product. Data that you store in Liminary may be shared with providers of large language models (LLMs), like OpenAI, Anthropic, etc so that we can deliver the Liminary product features. We will never share data you own with other third parties without explicit consent and we will only do so with the goal of improving the product and debugging purposes.
Can I access the content I save on multiple devices?
Currently, Liminary is only available on Chrome for Desktop. We'd love to hear what other platforms you'd like us to support!
